About This Project
Welcome to sufiphilosophy.org, a personal, non-commercial archive dedicated to making the philosophical wisdom of Sufism (Tasawwuf) freely accessible to everyone, everywhere, in every language.
Who Is Behind This?
My name is Raşit Akgül, and I live in Konya, Turkey, the city of Rumi, where Sufi tradition is not something you read about in books but something woven into the streets, the architecture, and the daily rhythm of life.
I am not a teacher or a guru. I am a researcher and a seeker sharing what I find. This site is my personal hobby project, born from a lifelong curiosity about the philosophical dimensions of the Sufi tradition.
Why This Project?
This site is inspired by the words of Seyyid Harun Veli, a 14th-century Sufi figure from Konya:
“Hak yolu kimseden diriğ değildir”
“Truth is withheld from no one”
In that spirit, this archive exists to make Sufi philosophical thought accessible across every language and every culture, without barriers, without paywalls, without agendas.
What This Site Is
- An open archive of Sufi philosophy, faithful to the tradition as it has been understood and transmitted
- A bridge between the rich heritage of Islamic spirituality and modern life
- A multilingual resource, currently in English and Turkish, with many more languages planned
- Completely free: no ads, no monetization, no tracking, no cookies, no data collection of any kind
What This Site Is Not
- This is not a fatwa authority or a substitute for qualified scholarship
- This is not affiliated with any particular tariqa or spiritual organization
- There are no sheikhs here, just a researcher sharing findings
If these writings help you on your own path of self-awareness and philosophical inquiry, that is enough. This is an offering to humanity, from Konya, with love.
